La Fédération Internationale de Football Association a publié jeudi 08 août 2013 le classement mondial FIFA du mois d’août. Si celui du mois de juillet avait vu la Guinée grimper d’un cran en gagnant 24 places, celui du mois d’août offre un scénario tout à fait contraire.
Au mois de juillet la Guinée avait quitté la 85èmeplace pour la 61ème mondiale. Pour ce classement d’août, le syli recule de 7 places et se classe maintenant 68ème mondial. Au niveau africain, la Guinée perd deux places et vient 13ème au profit désormais de l’Egypte qui se trouve à la 11ème place africaine.
Le prochain classement sera publié le 12 septembre et avant cette date, la Guinée disputera deux matchs : le 14 août face à l’Algérie en amical et le 06 septembre face à l’Egypte au compte de la dernière journée des éliminatoires du mondial 2014.
